TM-4000 Monitor and Alarm System for Marine Holding Tanks
These brand-new TM-4000 holding tank monitoring and alarm systems were manufactured by SmartSwitch of New Zealand and branded for Raritan. They are designed for the rugged environment of the marine industry and are suitable for both marine and RV applications. They are complete systems with solid-state pressure-type tank level sending units for one to four tanks.
The Master Display Unit will accommodate up to four holding tanks for water, fuel, as well as black and grey waste. The display has two pushbutton selectable modes – a [bar graph] and a [gallons/liters – % full]. In either case, the tank names are displayed with the level. Tank names can be customized to match your system or select from a set of pre-programmed names. The scroll key is used to check the level in each tank. Tanks have an individually set alarm limit. When the limit is reached, an audible and visual alarm is generated at the display unit.
HT100 tank controllers are mounted near the tanks with the sender units plug-connected to the tank controllers. The only wiring required for installation is the connection of the network cable (two wires) and power (12v to 32v DC). Pushbutton calibration is performed at the tank controller and can be set by potentiometer, using an off-line container, or using the actual target tank. Calibration can be done by the 2-point or, for irregularly shaped tanks, the 5-point method.
The SEN100 sender units are suitable for tanks up to one meter in depth. They use a very accurate pressure element to sense the static pressure of the fluid at the tank’s bottom. The system translates the static pressure to a level for display. The pressure sending units have standard ¾ inch BSP pipe threads and can be mounted in the tank side wall or at the top of the tank with standard commercially available fittings.
The model TM-4000 uses a factory-floor proven industry standard RS-485 network system with two-wire communication to interconnect the Master Display unit and tank controllers. The 2-wire network eases installation by minimizing wiring and allows the system components to be mounted anywhere on a 2-wire network cable up to 1000 feet in length. This means that while the tank controllers are mounted near the tanks, the Master Display unit can be mounted virtually anywhere on the RV or vessel.
The system will be tested prior to shipment to insure correct operation. Warranty is 12 months for replacement. Shipment not included.
Shipment for the system will be via USPS Priority Mail to USA customers only. Shipping cost is $20.
