Code Sails are fast, flat, free-flying sails, designed for close reaching angles. Code Sails add a great deal of sail area and power for close reaching angles. Boats with non-overlapping headsails see the biggest benefit from Code Sails, as these sails better fill the inventory gap between upwind headsails and downwind spinnakers. The Code Zero is a cross between a genoa and an asymmetrical spinnaker that is used for sailing close to the wind in light air.
This particular Code 0 was made for a 52 Ft fast catamaran. It was the fastest sail of the inventory and with it I was often able to reach and maintain wind speeds. So, in a 20 kts breeze I would reach 20 kts boat speeds. This sail is for either a fast and light monohull or for a fast catamaran in the range of 48 – 55 ft. I needed to replace it after rigging a new carbon mast which had different measures.
This sail is almost new and sailed only a few days. It is in excellent conditions. I spent over 9,000 $ in Cape Town and I trust in the US it would cost well in excess of 11-12,000 $. I am asking 4,500$.
The sail is located in Clearwater, Florida. Feel free to write me if you have any questions.
