Capital Gear
Model 2HE 10700
Ser. # 539-S
Here’s a Heavy Duty Marine Gear for your work boat.
This is a Capital Gear, Model 2HE-10700.
Rated 100 – 450 HP
Dry weight 450 lbs.
Ratio 3.5 : 1

This came from a troller that was decommissioned due to hull damage

It was to be installed in another troller but the owner passed away before completed.

Turns over smoothly both directions.
It’s complete including pump, clutches, shift selector and oil cooler.

Only thing missing is the plastic handle for the dipstick.

It can use flywheel adapter SAE 1,2,3 & 4.
not sure which one it is but it’s for a Detroit Diesel 53 & 71 series. 12 bolt.

This beast is heavily built, almost 500 lbs.

I would love to keep this gear for my project but I need a mechanical gear that can freewheel a propshaft alternator.

Capital Marine is local now, located just over in Sooke, BC. for parts and service.
These gears are EXPENSIVE.

So here you go.
Bargain @$1500
