A; This page will give detailed instructions on registering and posting an ad

Q; What if I am not sure which category to post in

A; Click on Suggest Category if you need a new category

Q; How to I edit my ads?

A; Dashboard Instructions. When you sign up you will have a dashboard. Here is where you can edit, mark as sold or delete the ad. The dashboard is found in the Black bar at the top of the page.

Cost of Ad

Q; Cost of ad options

1; $4/60 days

2; $19/m for multiple ads. Sign up for membership package in the account information box in your dashboard.

Q; How do Memberships work

A; Click for Membership Pack instructions

Q; Why $4/60 days.

A; We could have a longer period for the ad, but we needed a way to remove ads that are sold. Each 60 days the system has you relist and either continue or mark Sold.

Q; Why do you use PayPal.

A; We know PayPal is very secure and it makes sense for us to use then rather than have us store your Credit Card info. Also you can accept payment for your items with the PayPal account

Q, Why do you set up a recurring payment in PayPal

A; Our system of relisting is done to remove ads once they are sold. Rather than having to relist each period and go thru the payment system again we have set it up automatically. We have tried to make our system transparent. So you get e email saying, “As a convenience, a recurring renewal payment will be setup in your PayPal account and billed automatically.  Your future payments will be charged each 60 days for $4.00 unless you delete the ad or mark it sold before the expiration date”. When you sign up you have your own dashboard which is where you can mark the ad sold or delete it, both of these actions stops the automatic payments. Also 5 days prior to when the 60 days is up, you will get an email reminder saying the ad will be renewed unless you mark it sold or delete the ad.

Buyer/Seller

Q;  How to contact seller

A; To buy something go to the page for the item you are interested in. There are 3 tabs to the right of the ad. The contact button allows you to fill out the form and send it direct to the seller. Alternately you can post a comment(seen below the ad) the seller will see this also, but its a public comment.

Q;  How to make a deal

A; A deal should be mutually agreed upon between buyer and seller. Both parties need to be comfortable with a deal.

Q;  How to pay for an item

A; Generally a prospective buyer will pay the agreed up price for the item and shipping costs if any. The buyer will ask for the money to be paid to their PayPal account before shipping. This is accepted practice in purchasing used equipment.

Q;  Are there any guarantee’s with items purchased

A; For a seller, the quoted price for the item is “as is” and no warranties or guarantee’s are given unless agreed upon. It has been the case of a buyer asking the buyer if he would take it back if the item did not turn out to be what the buyer thought. This is a possible agreement which could be made.

Q, How do I pay for something that I have not seen.

A, One of our sellers had a Swage machine that sold for $4,000. The buyer was not sure it would even work, he talked to the seller on the phone and felt confident, but still the thought of paying in full without inspection was troubling. They worked out a system where the buyer sent a check express for half the amount. Once the seller received the check he would initial the shipping. And the buyer was able to see the swage machine was picked up via the tracking #. He therefore did not cancel the check. Once the swage machine arrived the buyer inspected it and then gave the UPS man the second half of payment.

Q, If an item is sold, who is responsible for transport? Harry Grossman

A, Hi Harry, Who is responsible for transport depends. Its worked out between the parties. Normally if you ask for x dollars for something, transport is not included. Some people say transport locally included, some say nothing. If nothing is said then I think the buyer knows there will be a transport cost, just like if you buy from an brick and mortar store or an online store. The items at retail do not include transport, that is an additional cost. Does that help? After the item has been paid for including the transport, then the seller arranges for transport, but in some cases the buyer arranges for pickup. You can arrange for UPS to pick up on your account if  you’re the buyer.

    Hello,

I am in Bedford, TX. It seems that shipping a mast to me from almost anywhere is difficult. Where are your physical locations? do they have inventory? Is there a nearby marina where I could slip a 30 ft boat and conduct the modification using your parts?

    Thank you,
    Bob Collins
